ABOUT SOUL CHATS

Katherine is known by friends for her classic question, "how's your soul?" For months, she discussed her idea for a podcast that would incorporate that same concept: just a casual conversation with people from varying backgrounds. When she finally came to me asking for a logo design, I knew she was ready to follow through with this project.

I helped bring her vision to life with the pastel color palette, while also incorporating some custom lettering to add some heart to the brand. I conceptualized the primary design to be simple yet meaningful, with some clean iconography and line-based illustration.

One of my favorite parts of designing for others is being able to create something they're excited about. When Katherine made the design her new wallpaper, I was overjoyed knowing that she resonated with the final concept.

I believe that knowing someone & understanding them as an entity is so essential to the design process. It was really cool working with one of my closest friends and teaming up with her to create something to support her creative passions.
